Wall ready for the bookcase

This is the wall before the bookcases were added.....I ummed and ahhhed about which to have and went to a few friends to measure theirs...I wanted to be sure I got what I need for now and later on as I added to my collection.

I bought 2 bookcases, Tony built one as was and the other we cut up to fit the space as you will see from the following pics.

Its brilliant I love it...A place for everything and everything has a place....

These bookcases are brilliant....great size and easy to build.....took Tony 10 mins....took me longer to get it from the shop !!

Oooh lots of empty space.....I dont have as many sets as I thought LOL.....loads of space and I can rearrange to my hearts content as they fit in which ever way I want.....

Under worktop pics

These are the pics of the units under my worktop and the desk to the right....

I had bought these units years ago in Staples when if you bought a 6 drawer unit you got a 3 drawer one free...I bought loads !!!.

I broke them all apart and over the years they have been in many conformations !! the latest was 3 tall units of 20 drawers...very tall indeed.

I had kept the lids from all the units and they had a usefulness as a jewellery tray when I was making jewellery bits....anyhow I needed to put them all back as smaller units, could I find the lids ???? could I not.....well hours of looking later I found them in the garage on top of a cupboard hidden behind the pelmet...PHEW....I made and fitted in 8 units...5 lots of 8 drawers and 3 lots of 6 drawers perfect I love it when a plan comes together......now I have to sort these drawers once and for all.....and I had 2 drawers left over....

This is the view from the door as you come in the room.My nesties are on the wall on Grundtal magnetic racks from Ikea £6.84 each.

The end units are also from Ikea, one from my sister and one of my own, they are perfect for sizzix dies also cutting pads and then the top shelf has little plastic storage boxes with my sizzlits and little cuttlebug folders.The larger cb folders are in the drawers.

My Ipod is on top for now.

The desk only has the big shot on it !!....I think I need the black and pink one dont you think as it would fit in so much better !!

Marvy punch house

This is the desk that comes out from under the worktop on the left hand side under the window.

This will be my jewellery area I think.I will use the 10 drawer unit underneath for all my findings and beads etc.....

Well thats the plan for now, may change when I al working in there.

I'm so excited.. !!!!

Tony thinks I have lost the plot....I'm so excited with my new idea for my nesties...

These are magnetic knife racks from Ikea...gotta love that place :)

They are 55cm long and boy are they strong magnets but they are BRILLIANT for storing the nesties....

As you can see I still have some space...must rectify that soon....hee hee

I still have space for another 2 racks above !!!

More work planned over the weekend so will post more pics as we do the jobs :))

My worktop is UP

Woo Hoo my worktop is UP....I love it.

Its 7' 6" long wall to wall....I still have my other desk tucked under on the right...dont know if it will stay or not...yet to be decided..it has my pull out drawer for my cutter and scor-pal...so it depends whether they will work anywhere else...

Wall for punch rails ??

I had an idea !!!...Tony said "Oh no"...hee hee

The wall to the right of the window is just the right width for the towel rails from Ikea ( 55cms )

so I had this idea for putting the towel rails up like a ladder for my SU punches......will let you know if thats what I do !!

I now have carpet !!

Woo hoo !! I have carpet...Leo loves it as you can see.....he rolled all over it and sniffed every corner LOL.....its lovely...now to start re-filling the room.....
