I won a competition !!!

At the last SU extravaganza day Jenny had a crafters choice competition. You had to make something using mostly SU products...this is what I came up with...I had seen lots of these little people on the net using the larger petal die as well as the SU new petal punch so I set to work...it took me ages to find where I had hidden my booglie eyes LOL....and because it was the day before halloween it was very topical and I WON...woo hoo to me......I got a gift certificate for £25, thanks Jenny......

Halloween gifts for my friends :)

These are the bags I made for my crafting buddies...still keeping up with all the occasions this year phew only one more to go !! Seriously though its great to use the stash of goodies I keep hoarding LOL....I keep telling myself I must use these.... and I do !! I cut the shape using nesties die then embossed with the web folder, punched an oval out for the handle and as you can see from the tag I layered it onto a scalloped black oval...waste not want not... I used the tiny tags word BOO that was tricky as its such a tiny wee cute stamp :) I also punched out a black tag to layer behind it.I merrily went ahead punching lots of them and then realised that I hadnt done the holes for the thread DUH !! its much easier to make the holes in the top of the tiny tag punch whilst it is still in the punch, hold it upside down and just before you punch the tag shape use your pokey tool to make a hole at the top and voila hole ready for thread......or brad or both as I used. I then used the black stripe ribbon and frayed the edges to give an effect ? and tied the bag closed. I filled the plastic baggie inside with assorted sweets in black and orange.....
hope you likey what I have shared today :)

What shall I make with this lot then ?????

oooh what fun I had punching and cutting all these shapes......
This view shows you how the bats are suspended. I punched 2 bats and attached together with the thread inbetween using a mini glue dot.
Another halloween dsp not sure of the make of this but I found it in my stash !! Gradually getting through my stack of hoarded items LOL....
Another version this one uses SU retired halloween dsp...love the mosaic effect of this paper but its all gone now :(.......

Suspension card

I knew I wanted to make suspension cards for halloween this year as I loved the idea of bats being suspended upside down LOL....
The paper is from the doodlebug collection a few years back. I used glittery black thread which I taped inbetween the paper layer and card layer. I used my circle scissor cutting thing to make the openings.I used a red glitter pen for the eyes on the bats.....

Inside card

This is the inside of the cards. I used the web embossing folder from sizzix. The little spider is from a cuttlebug 3 x 3 halloween die I love the rhinestones for eyes...I tried red stones but they looked evil. Happy halloween stamp is from SU teeny tiny wishes.I used the word window and modern label punch to mat and layer the words.

Late Halloween share

This is the collection of halloween cards all together...spooky eh !!!

Baby cards

I love elephants and when I saw this set on ebay I had to have it.....!! ... do you know that feeling ??I 3d the ears arent they cute....I used SU pink pirhouette and bashful blue...they are both really good baby colours....the ribbons match perfectly as does all the SU goods....thats why I love them so much.

Its a blue blue christmas..................

Marina mist blue that is....its one of the new SU colours and I love it !!.I used some of the marina mist DSP as well as white card run through a sizzix embossing folder.
This card is using real red and basic grey...I used the bauble from contempo christmas and textured the grey card.I used real red satin ribbon and used my bow maker to make this bow....

Christmas cards in sage shadow

These cards are made using soft sage SU retired colour and always artichoke and certailnly celery.I had lots of DSP left in these co-ordinating colours so decided to make some xmas cards again 3 x 3.

more cards

These ones used the same technique as navy ones....I used real red and crumb cake this time. The one sheet wonder is a fab way to make your own DSP and then cut to the size you want. Currently I am loving the real cute 3 x 3 cards esp as you can get 8 from 12 x 12 card......

Its beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS !!!!!

These cards use night of navy and crumb cake card stock from SU. I stamped serene snowflakes in both colours all over A4 whisper white and then cut up layers to fit the cards I was making.I used a SU snowflake punch as well as a martha stewart punch. The merry was from the tiny tags SU set.
