Guess what...another xmas card..

Well I had some free time earlier....all chores done etc etc....so i thought I would have a play....make a card.....and guess what I made a christmas card...LOL....

All my cards were made and posted 1st December....so I guess that now I am relaxed about it.....an idea came, I have seen this card on a blog somehwre but cannot remember whose to give credit sorry...and voila.....what do you think.

I used SU snow burst stamp set, whisper white cs, pretty in pink cs and ink and black ink.

Silver cs and silver cord and pink ribbon completes the ensemble !!!

Leo and Rudolph

Its Christmas come early......!!!

Imagine this........all the addicted ladies together talking about SU and how we had not received our free goodies for doing the surveys for SU......

DING DONG the doorbell goes......a lady had a SU box for me to sign......I thought it was a duplicate order from Jenny then opened the box......was puzzled......then the realisation dawned on me....MY FREEBIES....and how great that we were all together to see and share the excitement LOL....

Cardstock loads of, 2 spot inkpads, 12 yes tweleve marker pens !!, 3" diddy envelopes and cards, a whole reel of gorgeous pink organza ribbon, a butterfly punch, goldy yellow twine, magic mesh and a stamp set....BUD BASICS

WOW amazing all this FREE for answering 4 surveys !!!

I also got my order from Jenny so I am in SU heaven.....typical that I am going out tonight so cannot play just yet !!!

Hope all you other girlies got your goodies to please please share if they are different LOL

Shrunk poinsettia

Bad light...not sure what happened there...I didnt change anything....

I dry embossed the background then chalked it then used some gold ribbon down the middle then added the shrunk image.

I love this image of Poinsettias, I will show another card using the same image but shrunk !!

I scored an inch down the left side and attached the ribbon and then stuck it down firmly.

The tiny irridescent snowflakes are by Dress it Up I think I prefer the word SNOW glittered....what do you think ????

Christmas 2007

PHEW...my cards are ALL done and written and all sent apart from the people who I will be seeing in the next week or 2........
My friends *The Addicted Ladies* and I make cards each week when we get together.....and I have been keeping them all for reference LOL.... so over the last 2 years I have accumulated over 100 cards so I decided ( not lightly ) that this would be the year I would use them :) as I need the space that they occupied......I have pics on the PC so its not like they are lost to me forever....and time moves along...your thoughts and ideas and likes change so.......there you go....they have been put to good use.......

I'm in heaven.......PAPER heaven !!!

My christmas came early too.......whilst parcel force delivered Jenny's SU starter kit.....my red van man delivered my SU papers that I ordered.
With some of the money I made at the Ringwood stamp show I treated myself to some SU papers as they had a deal on in November
Buy 3 packs of papers and get 1 pack free......I mean whats a girl to do.....
I made my wish list there were 16, YES SIXTEEN, packs that I liked....I couldnt decide which to have and which to leave out so I made the decision.......

HAVE THEM ALL GIRL.....so I did LOL.....!!!

I will take a pic later if the light ever improves here that is.....it has been such a dull day in Poole apart from the deliveries that is LOL

Another snowman challenge card for club

This was the other card I made using a different layout challenge.

The CS is purely pomegranate from SU and shimmery white from PDA.The ribbon was from the range and the words are hero arts.I used 2 sizes of marvy oval scalloped punches.

Snowman Club challenge card

Hi Everyone,

This is a layout challenge set by Dorset Stampers.

It was good to see all the different ideas people came up with from the same layout.

I had trouble fitting the sketch onto a C6 card so instead I used an A5 card.

I used blue bayou cs and inkpad from SU and shimmery white cs from PDA.

The snowman and snowflake and flourish stamp are from SU and the words are hero arts.The gem is also from SU

I used nestabilities again.....First time I cut them Bella was

pushing the wreath along with her bum instead of sitting on it

It was too funny I laughed and laughed at that one !!!

Jelly glaze pens on the holly.

Bella Calender Pages

This is my June calender page for the Bella group on Yahoo

I used the SU word window punch and my Karen Foster snap stamps to do the words Lifes a beach.

I used SU crystal effects and DD glitter for the sunglasses and a little

gem for her belly piercing bling !!

I used some Banana Frog crystals for the bling on the beach bag.

To and from Wales 4 times and what a inightmare some of those journeys were....not

Hi Everyone,

I have missed blogging...but family calls....my mum is not very well in a hospital 2 1/2 hours away from where I live so its been hard.
I havent had much opportunity or inclination to make cards.
Still look at blogs and scs at the ideas keeps my mind occupied....

Point about Criss cross cards

Hello everyone !!
Thanks for the lovely comments about the criss cross card...they are really easy to make but I thought I should just add a comment about the paper.....
Most cards I saw on SCS used double sided paper.....

The first paper I was using had the words Let it Snow written all over so I cut the 4 x 5 piece then cut it in half diagonally....bottom left piece fitted fine onto the main card....top right however didnt !!! it was upside down AND back to front.... LOL.....I checked all measurements etc.....all ok.....then realised about the DS paper.

SO....you either use DS paper, or 2 pieces of co-ordinating paper, or if you want the same paper both sides of the crisscross then you will need 2 pieces of the same paper....
Just thought I would share that with you all to save you the trouble...

Oh well live and learn as they say.....

First Criss Cross card

I have wanted to make one of these cards ever since I saw them on SCS and today as it was raining I thought why not.....so here it is.
I thought they were quite easy to make, it took longer to choose paper and cardstock and colours etc.
The snow blossom punchies I received in a swap and it has made me DESIRE the set of stamps even more !!!!

Bella card

This is the card I made for my *bella* sistah......Charlene.....she likes pinks,greens and browns.

I am in a swap with a group I belong to where we make cards and send little gifts over a 2 month period to *spoil* our bella sister.

This is the second card I have sent I forgot to snap the first one I was so excited to get it postal !!!

I used the same colour as on Beates card and then used my cuttlebug alphabet to cut out the words BELLA and then glittered them....I also used zoomz baubles as I dont have bella ones...!!

I did use some stickles on the card to but its not very clear.

The light inside was awful so I took these outside BUT they are not much better. I will try again tomorrow.....
