Another Navy christmas card

Whilst the navy CS was out I thought I would make another card...another 2 made now off my list LOL....!!
I used a marvy 2" scallop punch, then SU scallop punch in whisper white, then the same in night of navy, then using the 1" SU circle punch I punched out one of the embossed snowflakes from the cuttlebug bacground...then used the rest layered on bashful blue.Again I used the navy ribbon I made earlier and a pale blue pearl brad.
The merry christmas words were inked in white and embossed with irridescant ice EP.

Forgotten Friday Polar Bear Card

Jenny is having A FORGOTTEN FRIDAY today where she pulls out a set she has *forgotten* and makes a card !!! I thought I would do the same. This is a very old SU stamp set but I just love this cute Polar Bear doing the splits whilst having his Latte !!!
I used Night of Navy and whisper white CS.Cuttlebugged the white layer with the new snow dots folder and added a touch of navy using a stipple brush. I didnt have the ribbon to match so I again I cut what I wanted and ran over the night of navy inkpad...brilliant !!
I colour his boots and scarf using night of navy from the lid of the ink pad and a brush.

New SU shelf unit

This is my new unit....it was a 30" wide bookcase that we were going to give away but I had an idea and Tony helped to cut it up and make it into a 12" wide unit as that was all the space I had and voila here it is....
Quite full as you can see, I think I may have to sort out some of the *older* sets pre 2000 !! and sell those to make room for the new ones that I know I will want !!!
These are within arms reach of my desk and so much better than delving through the drawers under the desk....

It was inspired by a card that my good friend Jenny made that can be seen here also a card that I rec from my friend Sharon for my birthday a few years back.

For the scallop circle punch I brayered Sage shadow ink onto whisper white to give a more subtle colour that blended with the original colour.

I used the SU marker in sage shadow to go down the white SU ribbon...thanks Jenny for showing us that...mind you my line was not as straight as jenny's !!

Card:- SU Sage shadow and whisper white

Ink:- SU sage shadow, sage shadow marker

Punches:- 2 1/2" scallop punch, SU scallop, 1 3/8" circle and 1 1/4" circle

Cut up card !!

I saw a card like this on a blog hopping spree......sorry cannot remember where....
I used a square card and tore down the right hand side about 1 1/2" in from that side...
I then decided how much of a gap I wanted and then trimmed that amount off the right hand straight edge.
I attached the two pieces using the word window punch from SU cut out of black CS and used pink brads to attach.
I used a hero arts word stamp delight vertically on the cut off piece.
The shadow oblong stamp and the flower are from the SU Oh so lovely set.
I used the SU corner rounder with the guide off to make the scallop border and then I punched holes in each of the scallops.

A few ideas I wanted to try

This little envelope treat holder idea is just SO cute dont you think....I saw it on SCS and just had to have a go....
I wanted to do the scallop punch with cut edges, also I wanted to try the neat little flower folding trick that I had seen on a blog.
So as I was short of time I decided to combine them all together.
Its an envelope that has been sealed then using the SU large tag punch you slide up the edge of your envelope and punch out the shape you will be left with a tiny edge...snip it off...do the same the other side and there you have it.
Then you decorate however your heart desires :)
Details:-
Cream envelope sealed.
Choc chip and Cameo coral cs and ink
Scallop punch and tag punch from SU
Marvy scallop 2 1/2 punch
Doodle this stamp set from SU
Terrific tags set from SU
Choc chip ribbon from SU
Choc chip marker
Brads from papermania.
Once finished you can open out then envie and stuff with little lightweight treats, irridescant shreds, sachets of bath petals...whatever you want really.
Also you can use any shaped envie to make a holder to suit your requirements.
You could also use DP and make your own envie and then cut out.
How neat is that then !!

Friendship Blooms

I received some new stamps Friday so decided to mount them and have a play :)
This set is called friendship blooms and its from SU...the card did not end up how I imagined when I started LOL
I used basic grey and soft sky ink and cs and grey taffeta ribbon and have you noticed how the ribbon is.....have you...and how neat it is....YEAH......I tied a JENNY knot LOL.....I sat and played yesterday until I worked out where I was going wrong and it was to do with left over right and under or was that over LOL....that was where I went wrong hee hee......
Anyhow......it worked :)
I distressed the edge of the white layer with this neat tool that looks just like pac-man...I'll have to take a pic....then I pricked around the white layer too....using the mat pack from SU
The pearl brad in the center is from a set by papermania and it matches the soft sky perfectly...

Another Happy Harmony card

Whilst I had the CS and inks out from making previuos card I thought I would make another.
This time I cuttlebugged the white layer with swirl folder and then swiped the perfect plum ink pad over it, the raised embossing picks up the ink beautifully....it looks great using dark CS and a white ink pad...try it.... have fun....experiment !!

Z- Fold Happy Harmony

I decided to have a go at a Z-fold card.

These are really easy to make and very effective as a
*different* card.
I cut a piece of A4 in half lengthways and folded in half.
Fold back the front of the cardand there you have it Z-fold.
Details:-
Perfect plum CS and ink
Sage Shadow CS and ink
Whisper white CS
Stamps.....Happy Harmony and Sanded background
Punches... 1 3/8" circle, 1 1/4" circle and 1" circle
I pricked a circle from the priceless brass stencil then punched with the 1 1/4" circle.
This circle topper is used to keep the card shut by popping a dimensional ( POP dot ) on one half only on the back of the circle.
