Update

Hi Everyone,

I have missed blogging...but family calls....my mum is not very well in a hospital 2 1/2 hours away from where I live so its been hard.
I havent had much opportunity or inclination to make cards.
Still look at blogs and scs at the ideas keeps my mind occupied....

Point about Criss cross cards

Hello everyone !!
Thanks for the lovely comments about the criss cross card...they are really easy to make but I thought I should just add a comment about the paper.....
Most cards I saw on SCS used double sided paper.....

The first paper I was using had the words Let it Snow written all over so I cut the 4 x 5 piece then cut it in half diagonally....bottom left piece fitted fine onto the main card....top right however didnt !!! it was upside down AND back to front.... LOL.....I checked all measurements etc.....all ok.....then realised about the DS paper.

SO....you either use DS paper, or 2 pieces of co-ordinating paper, or if you want the same paper both sides of the crisscross then you will need 2 pieces of the same paper....
Just thought I would share that with you all to save you the trouble...

First Criss Cross card

I have wanted to make one of these cards ever since I saw them on SCS and today as it was raining I thought why not.....so here it is.
I thought they were quite easy to make, it took longer to choose paper and cardstock and colours etc.
The snow blossom punchies I received in a swap and it has made me DESIRE the set of stamps even more !!!!

Bella card

This is the card I made for my *bella* sistah......Charlene.....she likes pinks,greens and browns.

I am in a swap with a group I belong to where we make cards and send little gifts over a 2 month period to *spoil* our bella sister.

This is the second card I have sent I forgot to snap the first one I was so excited to get it postal !!!

I used the same colour as on Beates card and then used my cuttlebug alphabet to cut out the words BELLA and then glittered them....I also used zoomz baubles as I dont have bella ones...!!

Beates weekend challenge #20

I used some ZOOMZ top right ( thanks Jenny )

I did use some stickles on the card to but its not very clear.

The light inside was awful so I took these outside BUT they are not much better. I will try again tomorrow.....

Calender Pages

Well the addicted ladies met again yesterday, change of day we usually meet on a Thursday !!
We mostly make cards, what we do is each come up with a design for a card and make it prior to Thursday, bring all the bits along for the others to re-create the same card.So we get to make 4 cards each time we meet.
Of course I very very rarely used the cards we made, I kept them to look at (seem familiar) so they mounted up over the few years we have been making them !!!
Whilst sorting my room out (earlier in blog) I collated them all together and put all the xmas ones in a box (BIG BOX)....I had over 130 (shock horror) !!!!!! so I decided this year that as I have pics of all of the cards made anyway (thanks sharon) that I would use them
I WILL make xmas cards for *special* people and family but at least I dont have the daunting task of making loads ....I send about 120 each year.....PHEW.... another job I can cross off my list...LOL
Great way of sharing ideas...we do have fun...

So moving along...........to the title......CALENDERS

A few years ago with a Yahoo group I belonged to we made a calender.
12 people sign up and you are allocated a page to design for a calender....you have to make 12 of those pages ( quite a commitment ) but hey you get a whole calender hand stamped by some awesome people to hang in your carft room.

The first 2 I joined were A4 size bound at the top, over the years they got smaller.....!!

Well I persuaded the addicted ladies they we should as a group make a calender, there were 5 of us to start....(hello Tracey)....now there are 4

We started with 2 x A5 sheets for our calenders bound in the middle (again thanks Sharon) but clipped at the top to hang....BUT this year we are making 2008 calender we are trying the whole calender as an A5 sheet which will be bound and hang at the top ...Pic to follow

As there are 4 of us we each have 3 months of pages to design, for the 2008 calender I have June,September and December.
So although I will design those pages, when we meet the girls will each make their own page !! so it does allow for a little poetic license if they choose to alter something or colour it differently or alter the position of things !!
We each choose when we will slot a calender page into our Thursday mornings as long as they are all made ready for Sharon to bind in December so that we can start using in January.

So yesterday was December's turn and having asked permission of the others to share these pics I will later today.....so tune in again to see what I have been rabbitting on about for the last 10 mins hee hee.....

Woo Hoo who would have thought all those hits...I cant quite believe it...

Busy Weekend

Wow what a busy weekend.....I have been working 12 1/2 hour shifts.....but I check my blog before and after work and wow look at the hits !!!

The Addicted ladies

Well, we meet again....Thursday mornings are back on the menu....GREAT
We seemed to spend a *lot* of the morning talking and planning how to spend money
and ideas for cards as well as latest purchases.
Overall we have fun fun fun and I love them all to bits....ok now I am getting mushy must be bedtime hee hee......
I have to work the next 3 days so may be MIA again.......
