Colour challenge on SCS

On SCS there was a colour combo challenge I cannot remember the number but the colours were Groovy Guava and Soft Sky.

I dont have soft sky but had Blue Bayou and I thought they kinda went together so off I went......hee hee

When SU come to the UK I will be looking forward to joining in more of these colour combo challenges as I think they are great !!!

The background stamp was awkward to ink up per say , so I used my brayer to do it and it worked out ok.

60th Birthday Card

I was asked by a friend to make a 60th Birthday card for her hubby. His fave colour is green, and he is into gardening/allotments.

I used a card template for the background and sponged Versamagic Hint of Pesto over the template.

New Camera

Woo Hoo we have a new camera !!!
It appears easier to use than the last one which took me several times of Simon teaching me to remember how to upload the pics.
This one is much better.
Now I need to make some cards to show you all.

Warmer wednesday !!!

Hi All,
Sad news the digi camera is broken.....well it still takes piccies but there is no sound for the shutter or video playback so it needs to be looked at as its only 5 months old.
So its gone back to manufacturer :( so no pics on blog for now.....UNLESS......I can work out to use my NEW PINK mobile.....LOL....it has a 3.2 million pixel camera and software to upload the pics.....will have to read the manual LOL.....

BUT for now I am off to castlepoint shopping center to look for a dress for Laura's wedding.
My darling other half has said he will treat me to a new dress isnt he a sweetie....love him to bits !!!

Will sign off now just been chatting to Jenny ( stamping moments ) for about 30 mins AND I will be seeing her and the other Addicted Ladies tonight...cant wait....love them all as well :)

Jenny's card for Janette's Challenge

Well I have to go to work now 12 1/2 long day shift !!

Made this last night but had switched PC off before I

uploaded it !!

I used bazzill trio pack of CS and papermania papers.

2 sizes of Oval scallop punch. Polka dots stamp set and a crystal.

This was a super easy card to make.

Miserable Monday !!

Hi Everyone,
Wet and windy here :(
Went to get eyes tested and parted with £300+ for Tony's new glasses.

I found some lovely frames so when my test is due thats what I'll be having if I need new ones :)

Bought Tony's suit for his daughter Laura's wedding, lovley charcoal pinstripe one with a paisley tie....he looks very smart and his new glasses are charcoal frames too..!!

Thanks for the comments for the challenge card, I have decided that I am going to do them each week and step out of my comfort zone and use goodies that I have had for ages to complete the challenge.,....so keep checking Beate does them on a Friday !!!
Also SCS have lots of challenges going on......great now that my room is sorted and I know where my stuff is I am going to try new techniques and such and generally have lots of *ME* time once Simon goes back to 6th form next month.

His GCSE results are out on Thursday (biting nails here ) well me I am not him....he says
if I dont go to the school then they post them to you !!! He's not bothered by the results being imminent which considering he was ill through them all is surprising but he has a place at 6th form regardless and in his words "I can always re-sit them to get better grades"....oh well...!!
The youth of today eh.....

Swap Card just made

Hi Everyone,
This is a card I have just made for a swap where you had to use a *cuttlebug element* on your card.
I decided to make a flower and was initially going to do petals but I couldnt get it quite right so I went fo rthe middle of the flower instead.
I have used stickles over the swirls and the letters are Wingo Zingo Sizzlit die that I bought at newbury this year....YEAH....I used something that I bought......

My first Bella Cards

Hello,

Well as mentioned in earlier post here are the Bella cards I made to give to *The Addicted Ladies* :)

Essentially the same card but in different colourways.

I used the cuttlebug retro squares embossing folder for the background.Prima flowers and crystals and brads and of course RIBBON...I had to break into my lovely wound ribbon cards...

I only have 2 plate holders to display the cards on and I sort of propped up the turq one but just as I took the picture it slipped LOL and I didnt have time to retake it as I had to leave to meet *The Ladies* !!!

My addiction satisfied

Well just got back from meeting with *The Addicted Ladies*...what a blast we had. I gave all the girls a card each in honour of getting back together 'cos I missed them !! Will post what I made tomorrow...

We nattered and chattered and showed and shared got caught up with what we had been doing since we last met and laughed and laughed some more. We made some lovely double slider cards, Jennys has pics on her blog...link to the left....or SCS has a tutorial for them....link also to the left.

We rummaged through Jenny's drawers and had a look at how she stores her treasures. Came up with some new ideas for storing things between us all....so guess what I'll be doing soon like tomorrow !!!......sorting my 12 x 12 papers....hee hee

Its my last days holiday tomorrow :( I have been lucky and had 24 days off from work, then back to 12 1/2 hr long day shifts.

Towel rail for......PUNCHES..!!

The small rail at the top is Tesco's utensil rail from the kitchen section.
The bigger punches are on the towel rail from Ikea...it only
cost £1.49 and is PERFECT.

Wet Wednesday

Hi Everyone,
Well last week it was Windy Wednesday and this week it is Wet Wednesday....WHAT is happening with our weather...good job Simon is working and doing lots of overtime so he doesnt have time to worry about what to do this summer holiday !!!

Well I was moving some bits in my room ( AGAIN ) I know...!!!! and I tripped a little and the drawers fell out of my Ikea unit and one of them sort of broke BUT the beauty of that is it left me with the shell of the unit and I thought WHAT could I use this for ....hmmmm...... as it had 2 drawers.....I will post a pic later to show what I used it for...needless to say a few other of my Ikea units are now drawerless too hee hee

What are we like us crafters....I swear I spend more time moving and changing things and then standing and staring and talking to myself than I do stamping...!!
Does that sound familiar to anyone....I hope so otherwise the next knock at the door will be the men in white coats hee hee....

OK the Addicted Ladies are getting together tonight for some fun and frolics...we always have a great laugh when we natter and stamp and chatter and share and enable each other to buy things.....LOL.....

I made a single slider about 8 years ago in a stamp show in London but the double one well WOW and double WOW........

Tool Table

Well I now have a tool table.....have always wanted one of them !!!

This little table is what I used to stamp on before I re-organised.

I didnt think I would have a use for it BUT its perfect for my Big Shot and Rotatrim and the desk is on wheels so I can move it around the room to bring it closer to use or out of the way to get to the drawers behind it.
