Friend card

This card was made for an Autumn Colours swap on a Yahoo group that I belong to.

Its very vanilla, choc chip and more mustard.

The DP I think was called Apple Cider.

I still need to do some organising of my files on the laptop as its arranged differently to my PC.....took me a while to find where this card was LOL !!

Missing

Hi Everyone,

I know I have been missing for a LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG while......

I had probs with PC, couldnt get onto blogger and when I could I couldnt post, then I was poorly for a few weeks.
Thought the PC was sorted loaded lots of cards to show, was going to start a new blog, then the PC wouldnt open up ANYTHING......managed to transfer lots onto flash stick pics and documents etc etc....

Got a new laptop now, so have been busy sorting that out and trasferring all the info...luckily I think I have everything but what a slow process as I could only have the old PC on for about 5-10 mins before it started making noises and lots of pop-ups etc etc....no evidence of any bugs that we could detect with the programmes we ran......

Anyhow, back in PC land :)
Will post a card once I can find it on this laptop, its vista premium which is a little different to windows 98 and XP

One stamp set, one colour choice 3 cards

I decided to use Blue Bayou CS with whisper white CS and some blue bayou print paper.

I chose garden Silhouette stamp set and wanted to make 3 cards using these.

Tag xmas card

This one didnt turn out as intended, I wanted to make 3 layers of tag effect but my punches were not big enough and I only had 1 large sizzix scallop tag, I thought I had a set of 3...so there you go.I used the SU oval punch to fold over the top and attached a brad.I used a the dot stamp from polka dots set for the top of this card.

I promise to *try* and use a different set over the weekend LOL....

Christmas tree again....

Sorry still used this christmas tree stamp...I do like it... :)

This time I used rose red, summer sun and garden green.Rose red DP and happy thoughts set for the inside of the scallop circle.

I inked the stamp with the same coloured markers. This card will be for my friend who likes *other* colours for christmas !!

I used the SU crosshatch stamp for the top part of the card. I like using these background stamps as they just give a little *bit* of something to an otherwise plain card.

Dear Friend card

I thought I would make a quick card to see how easy it was to use the nestie dies as I had stored them.....easy peasy card and easy to get dies !!

I made holes along the bottom intending to have 3 black brads in both places but I punched them too close together and 3 just didnt fit LOL...so I left the middle one blank as I couldnt think of anything else to do with it ??????

anyone have any ideas ????

My nestability storage

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to sort out my nestability dies into some sort of order.I did have them in a CD thin box but everytime I opened it they fell out LOL.

I used a piece of MDF 3mm so that it would slide down by my SU stamp storage unit.I attached 4 strips of self adhesive magnetic tape and voila all done and SO much better. I just pull out the MDF when I want to use s die and off we go.Hopefully I can now use them a lot more :)

Another christmas card stack

Hi Everyone,

Well another 10 cards off the christmas list.

I used real red, old olive and choc chip...not your usual christmas colours but I quite like it :)

I used the large crosshatch background stamp in real red to give some texture to the main card.

I did a stay put knot in choc chip ( I am loving these ) then a column of old olive layered up with choc chip then the scallop toppers I had made earlier this month...I was going to use 3 but it was a bit much so I did 2 and then stamped very merry words in choc chip on old olive and punched out with an oval punch and voila....I made 10 so am getting through my christmas cards quite nicely.......

Friends BD card

This card also uses black !! old olive and ruby red.Another CB folder...swiss dots...live the dream SU set, scallop border punch black brads and black and white polka dot ribbon.

I popped up the flower heads on 3D foam pads.

These colours are perfect for my friend, they are not my favourite but I do have to say that I do like the card :)

Masculine birthday card

Hi Everyone,

I made this card yesterday as I needed a male BD card.

The colours I used were black, choc chip and river rock.

The rushes were a stamp I have never used and the birthday words are SU sincere salutations.

The jumbo eyelets are from SU and I used the mosaic cuttlebug folder.

Another Navy christmas card

Whilst the navy CS was out I thought I would make another card...another 2 made now off my list LOL....!!

I used a marvy 2" scallop punch, then SU scallop punch in whisper white, then the same in night of navy, then using the 1" SU circle punch I punched out one of the embossed snowflakes from the cuttlebug bacground...then used the rest layered on bashful blue.Again I used the navy ribbon I made earlier and a pale blue pearl brad.

The merry christmas words were inked in white and embossed with irridescant ice EP.

Forgotten Friday Polar Bear Card

Jenny is having A FORGOTTEN FRIDAY today where she pulls out a set she has *forgotten* and makes a card !!! I thought I would do the same.This is a very old SU stamp set but I just love this cute Polar Bear doing the splits whilst having his Latte !!!

I used Night of Navy and whisper white CS.Cuttlebugged the white layer with the new snow dots folder and added a touch of navy using a stipple brush. I didnt have the ribbon to match so I again I cut what I wanted and ran over the night of navy inkpad...brilliant !!

I colour his boots and scarf using night of navy from the lid of the ink pad and a brush.

Friendship card

Using the same colours I tried a different layout

still not sure.

I did make the ribbon to match Sage Shadow CS though....that was fun.

I cut the white grosgrain ribbon to length I wanted and then ran it across the inkpad voila...perfectly matched ribbon.....now I must buy more white ribbon LOL

Its a DOGS LIFE !!

New SU shelf unit

This is my new unit....it was a 30" wide bookcase that we were going to give away but I had an idea and Tony helped to cut it up and make it into a 12" wide unit as that was all the space I had and voila here it is....

Quite full as you can see, I think I may have to sort out some of the *older* sets pre 2000 !! and sell those to make room for the new ones that I know I will want !!!

These are within arms reach of my desk and so much better than delving through the drawers under the desk....

Christmas Project !

Hi Everyone,

Sorry if you tuned in to see the next stage last night :(
I was all prepared to do them but Tony said he would
cut up the wood I needed to make my SU stamp shelf
so that took over LOL.....

I will take a pic of that to share with you.....I love it
I can see ALL my SU stamp sets at a glance.

It was originally a 30" wide bookcase that we were going to give away
until I had this idea to take it apart cut the shelves smaller to 12" wide
and then re-assemble it....voila !! perfect for all sizes.....

I had to re-arrange my room again to accomodate it BUT it allowed me
to have another sort out and downsize again.....so Ebay here I come ...AGAIN...LOL

Next we are sorting the garage then the loft....busy busy busy weekend

Next Stage in project

This is the next stage, I coloured all the images last night, then today punched them out using SU 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" punches shown left of picture.

I then punched out the co-ordinating CS to match the markers ,I had used to colour in, in

Real Red,Night of Navy,Choc Chip,Old Olive and Brocade Blue.

Next stage is to assemble them all and then make the cards !!

OMG.....I have no car...LOL....!!!

Hi Everyone,

Simon my son ( 17 ) has just today passed his driving test...first time :)
He is so chuffed, so am I....but now for the time being I have no car :(

He pinched it as soon as he got back and went to Tesco to do the shopping for me !!!

I am so nervous...I just wish he would come home LOL.....

Oh well thats another milestone passed....

I have my dad staying for a while, which is very weird without mum :(
I have been a touch upset over many things...the last few days....hopefully
I will pull myself together soon and get back into card making

Another christmas in July card

This is another Z card using the same colours as before but a hero arts snowflake in the night of navy and bashful blue, the little snowman on the scalloped circle I think is from whipper snapper.

Taffeta blue ribbon and the new snoflakes dots embossing folder...gotta love them folders !!!

Making this card gave me an idea for some other diddy xmas cards.....watch this space.....hee hee

Christmas in July Z cards

This Z card uses, night of Navy and bashful blue cs, cuttlebug snowflakes folder, hero arts wavy snowflakes and let it snow border stamps,circle punches ans snowflake punch and crystal gem, also basful blue taffeta ribbon.I used the SU markers in navy and blue to colour the stamps.

18th Birthday Card for Niece

This is the card I made for my niece KIRSTY for her 18th birthday. I used bazzill CS, a wrapture template and a keepsake embossing board.

I punched out 18 flowers for the heart in the middle and added glitter glue to highlight them.

I used pearly paper inside and edged that with a fiskars border punch.

I edged the lilac corners with a corner adorner punch.

Nestability frame tutorial

Hi Everyone,

I also needed a get well card....boy I have been busy...July is one of THOSE months....LOL.....I still have an 18th card to make for my niece......This card is using pearly CS which I embossed the square in the middle, I then added a square of blue mirror CS then another blue layer with swirl image embossed in white.The flower and leaves are punched and I added lots of dots of liquid pearls....

Shrunk birthday

This card uses a hero arts stamp set.I stamped the image all over, then cut one out of navy CS and another in blue that I highlighted with glitter glue.

I wanted to add a shrunk flower too.....so I did...these are just so cute.There are words on the navy band but sadly they havent shown so well :(

Birthday scallop card

This card was made for my friends birthday.It uses pretty in pink and purely pomegranate cs and berry bliss DP.I pricked the corners on the base card.I made the scallop edge using the corner rounder with the guard taken off.I used the scallop punch and 2 circle punches and the happy birthday image was coloured using markers choc chip and rose red.

Another bag with header.

This bag is made the same way as the previous one.This time it has a header as the gift to go inside was taller.The side view shows that the header is stuck to the backside of the card.The fron is held in place using a velcro sticky dot.

Bold Birthday Class

This is the bag that we made at the SU bold birthday class using pretty in pink and close to cocoa.Its made out one sheet with no cutting !!

The ribbon is stuck to the back and goes right around the front to hold the bag together.

If you put your gift in some cellophane that you stamped with stazon....what a lovely gift bag.

My arms ache from EBay....

Well 5p listing day is not to be missed so I had a major clearout and have 153 !!! items listed.
Stamps, card and paper, sizzix little sizzles pads, sizzix embossing folders, double sided thin sticky tape, xyron tape runner refills,glitter glue, appliglue,liquid pearls, marvy markers,border and corner punches clothes, etc. Paper and CS and inkpad and marker pen all matching in variuos colours from company called DOTS (Dozens of terrific stamps) now called CTMH Close to my heart its a USA company like Stampin Up but not available here in the UK so they have to go LOL......I want SU stuff from now on.....hee hee....

It took me hours........yawn.......to list them all and I was still going right up to midnight to make the most of it...hee hee what am I like.......crazy is what Tony would say.....but I love my hobby right !!!

My room feels SO much more spacious now that they have been removed LOL.....MANY of the stamps infact I think ALL of the clear unmounted sets are BRAND SPANKING NEW....its criminal really but now that I have made the decision to REALLY REALLY get sorted I feel so much better.

I will be able to be much better organised and of course I will take pictures and make a new slide show for you all to see :)

Daisy Day

I set myself a challenge this week...I wanted to make a card using each of the presents I got for my birthday from my friends ( The Addicted Ladies )......LOL

Sharon got me Stem Sayings from SU so this is the card using that set.I also used Pick a petal.

Choc chip and pretty in pink CS.Pricking tool and mat and CB swiss dots.

I kinda think it needs another petal or so...what do you think....honestly ???

Items made at first SU class

I attended my first SU class last week, Jenny was the demonstrator, her blog is listed on the left,we had a ball it was great. This is what we made. 4 diddy 3 x 3 cards I love thes have a go if you havent before they are addictive !!

The set used was Perfect Presents available in the UK SU catalogue, very versatile set.Dashing designer paper and red and green CS.We made the box with a circular opening and acetate which is great so you can see inside to the cards this would also make a great box for putting a gift inside amongst some shredded paper....we also made an envelope to fit the diddy cards.

Looking forward to the next class next week....will of course share pics of what we make :)

Fun Fold card

Not sure what this is called but I saw it on a blog somewhere on the net, the first picture is what it looks like after being folded and stood up.The other picture is what it looks like after the folds have been scored and paper attached..LOL....

I think next time I would use coloured card as it would show up better but I wanted to use white for my first go as I dont mind wasting this 12 x 12 CS as I have loads LOL....

Prima Flower Storage

This is how I store my prima and other similar type flowers.

I use the plastic storage 50p boxes at the back and then the A5 box opened at the front.

I can see as soon as I open the drawer and it makes it easier to choose which flower to use.

However despite ALL the flowers I have I never seem to have one in *just* the right colour....know what I mean ????????

Bella Friendship card

This card is made using SU basic grey and rose red CS and ink.

I cuttlebugged a portion pf the card with the swiss dots CBN folder.

I used my nesties to do the 2 circles.

Note to self......I *NEED* the oval nesties :)

I used SU friendship word across the top in basic grey ink.
